Abstract: According to each thermal index of the northern boundary of subtropical zone, the formulation of the thermal synthetic index has been constructed in this paper: The thermal synthetic index of 117 stations has been calculated.The concrete geographic location of.northern boundary of subtropical zone was determined by using quantitative analysis. It reflects the boundary of the moisture-dry far-mis.g and the double cropping of rice and the economic forest of subtropical zone at present, which has significant agricultural sense. Calculating the guaranteed and mean value of water-thermal variable and combining geography, landscape and cropping system, the feature and breadth of the transitional zone between subtropical zone and warm-temperate have been advanced. The spatial and temporal internal relations of climatic variable in the transitional zone have been analyzed. That will lay the foundation for further analysis of agroclimatic resources.
